My brother has just found three Lesser Redpolls that dropped into the sallow bushes by the road below Lockley Lodge at about 1745. I have seen some reports of flyovers both here and on the Islands in Autumn, but I have never actually seen Redpolls in the valley, and certainly not at this time of year. It is very interesting what a change in the weather, however temporary, will do.
