Pectoral Sandpiper on North Pond this evening. He left it after ten minutes to check a field guide and it was not seen again. A trickle of migrants included 30
Dunlin, 12
Turnstone, a
Merlin, a
Collared Dove, a
Swift, 24
Wheatears including a few obvious Greenland birds and a Greenland bird trapped, 13
Sedge Warblers, four
Blackcaps, two
Whitethroats, 15
Willow Warblers and a
Lesser Redpoll. The third
Water Rail of the year to be trapped was at the Well.
