St Davids Hd am

Lots of hirundines feeding up and moving off west this morning, mainly Swallows; also 25+ Swifts today. There were 4 Redpolls sp over and a Spotted Flycatcher and Grasshopper Warbler were new. Two Cuckoos were present, a male and what I take to be a female (below). The plumage has lots of brown in it but unlike illustrations in guides, the face and the throat appear uniform rather than barred. Don't get to look closely at many Cuckoos, unfortunately.
