Swan news

Mute Swans are nesting just upstream from the Old Bridge at Haverfordwest, at what was a traditional site for many years until the birds were killed by juvenile vandals in the early 1980’s. None were nesting there by the time of the1984 – 88 Breeding Birds Survey, or anywhere else around Haverfordwest. The site was still unoccupied during the 2003 – 07 repeat survey, although a pair was then nesting downstream near Haroldston House.

Is this the first year that the traditional “Old Bridge” site has been reoccupied? The answer to this question and any other details helping to complete the above outline chronicle would be appreciated.
