Teifi and Ffynone

As the tide dropped this morning there were 48 Whimbrel on Poppit beach. Certainly the most I have ever seen on the Teifi. They were harassed by 2 Ravens and flew upstream. As the tide came in again this evening there were just 5 Whimbrel by the Webley.
At Fynnone woods a nest box check today found just one out of ten occupied this year so far. The male Pied Flycatcher

has today been joined by a female

 so hopefully breeding success this year.
