Plenty of birds about, many carrying food (Whitethroat, Coal and Blue tit, Blackcap, Willow warbler, Robin, Wren and a female redstart). A fledgling Mistle thrush sat all alone. Pair of noisy Jays. Cuckoo calling all the while I was there from one of the tall conifers west of the pond, and what looked like a female being chased off by pipits. Counted 9 Spotted flycatchers - one glade had 2 birds in it with another 2 each side.
