No Spoonbill! 6 Green Sandpipers, 2 Lapwing. 102 Starlings. Following Sash`s thoughts about Lapwing breeding at Marloes, I was talking to Pete at Trehill about them, he said they did breed "back in the day" but not for a long time now due to predation by Ravens & maybe Foxes. As far as I know, the nearest place they breed now is Ramsey. I remember finding their nests on the drained marshes at Icklesham (E.Sussex) & on down to Winchelsea & Rye, years ago but what their status there is now, I have no idea.
