Sea Trust Pelagic

The Sea Trust pelagic aboard the Celtic Wildcat yesterday turned out a stunner with 8 Bonxies, 1 Storm Petrel, plenty of Gannets and Manxies. We stayed fairly close to shore for most of the day in the bristol Channel off the Pembrokeshire Coast. The birds were good but the real stars were the hundreds of Common Dolphins, many with very young or newborn calves. The day ended with a spectacular distant leap from a Thresher Shark caught on camera and not ID'd until I got home. For a further report and link to photos visit the Whales in Wales blog here
