I checked out the field next to Lleithyr Caravan site just in case the Yellow Wag was back but only two Pieds. But they were a bit neat and had no gorgets. I was struck by the supers and strong white wing bars and suspecting Citrines started to get nearer along the track which skirts the field. Then I heard them call and they flew over my head, calling repeatedly, a long sharp tssreeep. It was similar to the Black-headed Wagtail call given at Marloes Mere in the spring. It's a long time since I've heard Citrine but it sounded good. Need to eliminate eastern Yellow Wag. They flew off north eventually and I'll go and look again for them this pm (giving up what looks like a Semi P at the Gann). Apologies for the shocking photo, best I could get with a compact. Also a Wryneck on the Butterfly Bank, (Carn Llidi slope above the Youth Hostel north of Kissing Gate), seen in flight 5 times as it moved between gorse bushes, behaving badly, just like the last one here in 2012. (A fuller account of Wags and some further shocking pics on my birdnotes blog here: http://mikesbirdnotes.blogspot.co.uk/)
