Newport am

Missed Richard, but 10 am c 600 Canadas flew in, honking & wheeling. After milling around for an hour they all took off at 11.00, over the dunes & N towards Cardigan. A morning dog walker told me this has been happening for several days - certainly when I've been there in the afternoon they haven't been there.The flock included a Greylag & 2 hybrids with White geese.
At high tide there was a nice group of waders together - 3 Dunlin, 3 Ringed Plovers, the 2 Knot, a Black tailed Godwit & a Ruff.
15 Oystercatchers with c 25 on the roost. Just a couple of Curlews
