Late afternoon: Gann: single bar-tailed godwit and a couple of wheatear. Airfield: 4 chiffchaff on track up, 3 chough, juv (female) kestrel, buzzard eating prey on the wing, and a merlin. c20 wheatear, lots of promising-looking pools but just a Golden plover. Large numbers of skylarks, Pipits and a large mixed flock of small birds mostly linnet (100+) c30 goldfinch and juvenile Reed buntings. Gann again: Bumped into Derek who had 4 Little egrets and a juv male kestrel.
