A darvic ringed Sandwich Tern at Newport today is from a Dutch ringing scheme.
The colour ringed juv Herring Gull which I noted on Sept 10, was in fact a Lesser BB, which was ringed in late June at Loch Leven on the West Coast of Scotland, & is presumably now sunning itself in Portugal.
With that level of identification skills I dont think I will be iding a Caspian any time soon!.
Othrwise at Newport, 60 Wigeon, 10 Teal, 600 Canadas. I didn't find any small waders. 45 Curlew on the roost (67 yesterday). 2 Med Gulls - 1stW & ad..
