Broad Haven
What a difference a few hours makes (see Brian's posting below). Early afternoon I could only find 32 Common Scoter, and they were scattered in small groups and mostly VERY far out. One drake had a significant amount of yellow on the bill base but even zoomed in at x60 it was difficult to be sure about the shape of the bill base and the exact patterning of yellow (although my suspicion is a Common Scoter with abnormal yellow). I only had one distant diver species, but I did have a Slavonian Grebe to the south, quite close in (probably better viewed from Little Haven). In Puffin Way a Black Redstart on the roof of no.13 (Ty Alex) - a regular site for this species. Haroldston Woods were quiet despite being nice and still, a single Goldcrest and a single Blue Tit the best.
