Hen Harrier and Lapland buntings (15)

Hen harrier at Marloes Mere this morning being kept on the move by crows and magpies. Plenty of ducks, rough counts 72 teal, 68 mallard, 58 wigeon, 6 shoveler, single tuftie and a merganser in the North irrigation pond. Flock of 250 lapwings in field opposite Britton Hide, with flocks of 60 (Winterton Farm), 30 and 20 flying around. c10 snipe put up by the harrier. Dale airfield: Lapland buntings much in evidence sw of pond, sightings of 4,5,6,8,10 and 12 plus a few singles. Bumped into Robin T just as I was about to leave, we had close-up views of a single bird, we then put up a group of 12, whilst these flew overhead another group of 3 also got up. 15 in the air together!
