Interesting to see Bob & Annie's comments about the number of kittiwakes they saw last Tuesday.
On Tuesday I was on a boat SW of Cork whale watching, but the commonest bird seen about 3 to 4 miles out were kittiwakes, and a lot of them; although we were not concentrating on them so I have no counts!
