Despite efforts to drain the marsh with the caterpillar digger, there is still plenty of water. Besides the usual gulls there were 3 shoveller (a drake and two ducks) and a flock of c40 teal. There was activity on the water well up into the valley, but from the DofE carpark it was not possible to see much of this: a set of steps would be useful!
