No unusual migrants in last couple of days but some good birding anyway. Yesterday I went through South Valley at Rich from Skokholms recommendation and flushed 5 Snipe and a Jack Snipe. We also saw a moderate movement of thrushes and finches with 26 Song Thrush, 4 Redwing, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 43 Goldfinch, 13 Chaffinch, 7 Snipe, Jack Snipe and a Merlin chasing passerines pm.
Today, in thick mist we had 1 Grey Heron, a Great Northern Diver sleeping offshore, 20 Common Scoter, a Peregrine chasing a flock of Starling, a Whimbrel and a few more thrushes through.
