Christmas Day Wanderings

Most prominent species during a lunchtime walk at Nolton was Fulmar....plenty on the cliffs and flying around close inshore.  Around 50 Common Scoter between Nolton & Druidston but gusty winds and poor light prevented a good grilling.  A circuit of Marloes Mere late afternoon revealed far fewer ducks than I was expecting, maybe many were tucked away?  Totals: 3 Wigeon, 10 Gadwall, 12 Mallard, 30+ Teal & 12 Shoveler.  A pair of Tufted Duck on the northern irrigation pond.
