A good look around the Gann, including the saltmarsh all the way up to Mullock. Counted 48 Wigeon and around 100 Teal were present, along with 4 Goldeneye (2 drakes) and 9 Little Grebe. 2 Reed Buntings & 9 Linnets fed in the scrub near the stepping stones, whilst up on the saltmarsh 9 Rock Pipits were counted and 11 Meadow Pipits fed amongst cattle in an adjacent field. Just 1 Brent Goose (pale bellied) on the foreshore.
Another go at the Chiffchaffs again at the sewage works at Monk Haven. At least 9 birds present, and in my opinion at least 3 of these looked good for Siberian - 2 quite grey birds and 1 with browner tones. Educational! Photo quality quite poor - it is really hard to digiscope warblers!! 2 different birds shown in the photos, the light can make a real difference to how they look, so photos not that helpful.
