From Justin Gillings - Would it be possible to put a post up on the blog asking for sightings
of Green Woodpeckers please? I know they are almost extinct now in
Pembrokeshire, so a real push for sightings would be superb. I am
starting a research project into why the Green Woodpecker is
disappearing from west Wales in particular, so working out where these
birds are in the county will be a big help to start off with. Any records to Justin at

N.B. There have only been single records of Green Woodpecker in each of the last two
Bird Reports - 2011/12 - so any records would also be welcome on the blog and,
of course, to the County Recorders.(Rich C.)
