Siberian Chiffchaffs and Firecrest
Another visit, to Monk Haven provided some of the best fun you can have with birds in my opinion. I agree with Dave that there are probably three Siberian Chiffchaffs (tristis) with a bunch of collybita birds at the Sewage Treatment Works. They seem to me to be pretty much classic individuals with one showing very contrasty tertials. They can appear greyer or browner above and whitish below depending on the light and posture, tone-'morphing' as described in Martin Garner's excellent post on 'Birding Frontiers'. Photos below.
