Cleddau Reach

The flood tide was rapidly flowing into Cosheston Pill late this afternoon. With it swam a Little Grebe and two Great Northern Divers. Further upstream were 14 Shelducks, 2 Wigeon, c90 Teal, 8 Black-tailed Godwits, c20 Redshanks and a Greenshank. Two widely separated Curlews added those bubbling, haunting calls which are so evocative of such still, grey days on estuaries full of birds like today.
