Two Glaucous Gulls were at Newgale at c.15:30 this afternoon: the usual immature bird and this fine adult. Seven other species of gull were also present, the usual five plus Kittiwake and Mediterranean Gull (at least one adult and one 1st winter bird). Elsewhere, I came across at least two Tree Sparrows feeding in the margins of maize stubbles near Treddiog (SM 89174 28322). These fields, which are between Newton and Mathry, are also being used by large numbers of Starlings and pigeons - including Stock Doves, Woodpigeons, Collared Doves and Feral Pigeons.
