Great White Egret? Eastern Cleddau 24/11/13

On 24th November at 10/42am Tim Lewis and Ian Martin were paddling up the Eastern Cleddau when they noticed a large egret, which they are sure was larger than a Grey Heron - which would make it a Great White Egret.  They got this one photo, which is perhaps not conclusive, though if the tree is as big as it looks then it looks good, the proportions of the bird certainly appear good.  It had a pale bill and largely pale legs.  It was on the north side on the edge of Pickle Woods (51.794N, 4.823W, effectively downstream of Blackpool Mill).

Could well still be in the area so a search of the Eastern Cleddau may well prove productive.
