Angle area

At Angle Harbour this morning there were 29 Bar-tailed Godwits, 66 Dunlin, 12 Redshanks and a few Curlew on the tide line with a Little Egret at the back of the harbour. Later at Kilpaison there were 22 Brents but the howling wind seemed to be keeping the waders away.

I walked the length of Castlemartin Corse late morning and have never seen so much water there. Most of the reed bed is submerged. There were 20 Chough in the field behind Starmans Hall though most of the birds were at the far, east, end of the Corse with over 2000 Lapwing, 250 Wigeon, 30 Mallard, 20 Teal and 2 Greylag Geese. I flushed 2 Jack Snipe walking through some of the boggy bits (actually most of the Corse is boggy!) as well as 20+ Snipe.
On a field near Gupton Farm there were 50+ Skylarks and 80+ Linnets.
