In the woods between Lawrenny and Garron Pill this morning there were a dozen or more Stock Doves and a couple were heard calling. A Goshawk soared low over the wood which kept the Doves quiet for a while. Two Great Spotted Woodpeckers were drumming.
On the bank of Beggars Reach there were 40 or so Curlew and a dozen Redshank whilst in Garron Pill there were 30 Wigeon and 25 Teal.
At Cresswell River there were 180 Dunlin and a few Redshanks.
