Newgale late am

The adult Kumlien's Gull was on the marsh with two adult Med Gulls before flying back to its favoured spot at the north end of the beach. The 2nd or 3rd cal yr Nelson's Gull moved the opposite way, giving an opportunity to watch it on the deck and in flight. It is a very pale bird overall, especially the body but the primaries, primary coverts, secondaries and tail markings and underwing coverts are boldly marked. I've no doubt it's bird number three, rather than a fourth individual on today's views.
