Another great day with Gulls at Newgale. Yesterday's (new) juvenile Kumlien's was present as were both adults. There was an adult and two juvenile Glaucous Gulls, a 3rd calendar year Yellow-legged Gull, the usual Nelson's Gull and the hybrid Med x Black-headed. The very dark Great Skua was also knocking about as was David Cameron. A new bird was a 3rd calendar year Iceland or Kumlien's Gull. At times the primaries looked sufficiently well marked to put Kumlien's in mind - especially a bird in it's second winter so presumably faded. But then at other angles/light they appeared Iceland-pale. The photos aren't quite the answer either but here's a couple. Answers on a postcard. (with Paul Grennard and Rene Baptiste)
