A pale 2CY Glaucous Gull and probable 2CY Kumlien's Gull (bottom left) at Newgale Beach yesterday |
Excellent birding at Newgale yesterday, as documented previously by Dave A. I reckon that there were probably nine or ten white-winged gulls in the area - not including the Mediterranean Gulls that were pretty much ubiquitous. The birds in the above pics were all in the same mobile flock of gulls moving along the beach, with birds joining and leaving continuously.
