An hour or so looking from the gull view point this evening, drew a blank on any large white-winged Gulls.
After picking out six adult Med. Gulls, a great surprise was to watch a Light-bellied Brent Goose swim through the gull flock. An adult Yellow-legged Gull was amongst some Lesser Black-backed Gulls, and the proportion of 2nd calendar year versus adult Common Gulls was higher today. Young birds now moving back north ?
Later I found the Hooded Crow, feeding where a Hoodie chose to hang out last August, near the large yellow house almost opposite St. Dogmaels's Quay, - a returning bird ?
