Great Spotted Cuckoo - Access

Birdguides reports that the Great Spotted Cuckoo is still present this morning (Saturday). It is usually seen on the golf course and todate golf club staff and golfers have been very tolerant and, indeed, interested in the bird. Please be aware, however, that there is no official  public access to the golf course  and visiting birders should ensure that they do not hinder the golfers in any way. Please also be vigilant to avoid flying golf balls!

Public footpaths, from which the Cuckoo may also be seen, run from Penally Station through the golf course to the beach and up the hill alongside the MOD firing range to the sentry look out hut which has a flag pole next to it.
