Big thanks to Rich Brown for putting me onto the Spoonbill (and to Eddie & Bee for sending it off Skomer!). It was on the Gann pools at 1400, along with 5 Snipe, 10+ Redshank and similar numbers of Teal. As the fields around here have dried out in the last week the farmers are all frantically ploughing, sowing, and muck-spreading. So there are large numbers of gulls around, many of which seem to commute to and from the Gann and Marloes Mere to drink and preen. The Gann had at least 4 Med Gulls earlier (all seemed to be 1W birds) plus a couple of adult Commons.
