A very smart Wryneck at St Brides this evening at 6:15 pm. Very confiding - Peter and I watched it from about 10 metres for about 10 minutes. It was feeding on the ground around the scruffy hedge on the eastern side of the beach near Cliff Cottage. This seems a very early record indeed but there was absolutely no doubt about the ID. Sadly no camera to hand.
