Gann this morning

Busy at the Gann but not with birds - 11 bait diggers plus National Park wardens making new boardwalks to connect the footbridge to the land - much better than teetering across the slippy stones which used to get washed away and/or tilted every time there was a storm. However closer scrutiny revealed one lost-looking Greylag Goose, one Sandwich Tern on an island which looked a bit soiled on the right side, and a male Wheatear looking very territorial perched on a twig above a rabbit hole in one of the banks by the pools - he investigated the hole several times while we were watching and made alarm calls if we got too close. Wonder if they will breed? Lots of Whitethroats. Whimbrels calling out in the bay.
