Teifi migrants -

The Chiffchaff below was caught on the Teifi Marsh this morning with a new looking ring -
HELGOLAND - it will be fascinating to see when it was ringed. Although this bird was ringed in Germany, the bird appeared a typical "collybita".

See Teifi Ringing Group for more about this year's ringing and research projects.

The day started with c100 Sand Martins over the marsh, and ended with a similar number. Only one Swallow was picked out this evening. Willow Warblers arrived in force today and White Wagtails are increasing daily, feeding in the mixed alba flock on the commercial reed cut area before going to roost in the adjacent reeds. Snipe, Curlew, and Teal are still being recorded on every visit.
