In the low sunlight a large pale Heron with a yellow bill produced a momentary frisson, but it was only a trick of the light.
The 3 winter plumage Barwits were again on the spit opposite the Boat Club, & nearby was a flock of 13 Ringed Plovers, 3 Sanderling & 2 Dunlins.
