A large increase in adult Black-headed Gulls - at least 26 around the estuary this afternoon. The first white colour-ringed bird back, though I couldn't read the ring. Several of these are recorded each year in the summer on the Teifi and they all (I think?) have been ringed at the breeding colony at the Cotswold Water Park, Glos.
I did see news that at least one pair of Mediterranean Gulls are successfully breeding in Carmarthenshire this year.
