All things white - on the Teifi

I hear from Howard and Siwan - 16 Little Egrets roosting viewed from their "almost riverside" house - a Teifi high !  Our summer flock of moulting Mute Swans has declined though. In the last decade this was c60 birds, today a count of 14.

 This interesting gull was first seen on the 17th July. Seen only from the boat as we enter the estuary. Not seen up river with the roosting gulls or on the island with the breeders. We have seen the gull on 4 days now.

Quite a head and bill....on a fairly compact large white gull.
