High tide on the Teifi

Some typical mid-August numbers rather than excitement...
Three Ringed Plover and one Redshank on Patch.c15 Little Egrets roosting opposite the railings. c100 Oystercatcher around the roosts, and c100 Curlew opposite St Dogmael's Quay, where creches of 12 and 4 Shelduck still hang out;- not sure if some juvenile Shelduck are elsewhere in the estuary...Mute Swans now up to 23.
Three Common Sandpipers at Jewson's - low numbers so far, and at least two Green Sandpipers around the marsh. Ten Teal at Creek hide with 1 Common Snipe. Two Little Grebe are now residents on Mallard Pond.
Sedge Warblers are moving through the reed-bed -- 42 new birds ringed yesterday morning, --see Dunlins, Swallows and Sedgies
