At Kilpaison this morning there was a mixed flock of 200+ Dunlin and Ringed Plover but most flew off high before I could get any more detail. Over on the far side of the bay there were 150+ Curlew in the roost. 6 Great Crested Grebes were out in the bay.
At Castlemartin Corse a high, wheeling flock of 32 Chough was a wonderful sight against the blue sky - doubtless they had been put up by the 4 Buzzards soaring above them. Also on the Corse a flock of 70 Linnets, a few Skylarks, 21 alba wagtails, 2 Sparrowhawks and a Peregrine.
