Marloes area

A walk around the Marloes Peninsula this evening. Robins everywhere over the weekend with dozen on Deer Park and similar number around Marloes Mere. Swallows passing eastward up high. A few Wheatear. Snipe in the rough pasture by Martins Haven and a single Whinchat. Probable Wryneck flashed across in front of me on the Deer Park - where the path splits before heading up to the lookout, but couldn't quite get enough of it. Marloes Mere: 9 Teal, 2 Shoveler and a Chiffchaff, Kestrel and couple of Chough. A Buzzard having a squabble with a Raven flashed a white rump and black terminal band, followed it as it drifted east over Marloes village but couldn't get anything more. Dale airfield (Saturday) 3 Curlew and a Golden Plover. A flock of 100+ Linnet with 10+ Reed Buntings and same of Goldfinch together with lots of Meadow Pipits in corner by the beet field, busy picking up seeds so had a good scan through them. 3 Chiffchaff and a Blackcap on track up.
