Juv Marsh Harrier at Mere this evening (6pm), spooking 6 Snipe as it cruised up and down, before disappearing westward. 8 Chough on grassy slope near barb-wire gate. 100's Swallows tailing a Kestrel. Greenshank. 3 Shoveler and 2 Wigeon. Seem to be a few Willow Warblers around, 3 or 4 out from Britton Hide, and earlier at Mullock Bridge a few in hawthorns as well, I scanned the Pines looking for the Osprey but obviously not well enough. Gann: Last light. 3 Little Egrets roosting, 6 Dunlin, 3 Turnstone, 3 Redshank, Greenshank, Bar-tailed Godwit, a Knot. Juv Sparrowhawk seems regular here.
