Dotterels - Dale airfield

2 poss 3 Dotterel at the airfield between 10-11am, among a flock of c10 Ringed Plover, a Dunlin and 5 Lapwing. They were in the rough grass on very edge of the rally-track just off the right-hand runway (approx spot), sometimes hard to see as they disappear out of view in ruts and hollows.

First Merlin of the year flashed over at Hoopers Point. 7 Snipe. 2 Wheatear in ploughed field by main gate, also c100 Linnet, plus 20 Goldfinch and a single Reedbunting. Flock of 300+ Starling. Otherwise 2 Jays and 4 Mistle Thrush in Dale vilage.
