Tide was out at the Gann so we concentrated on the mirror-like pools where everything was reflected. A big count of 12 Dabchicks, 4 noisy Greenshanks, 1 Dunlin and a good scattering of Redshanks - their "shanks" glowing in the sunshine. Also 9 Black-tailed Godwits flew over but did not land then headed off towards Angle. Lots of birds at the airfield - Meadow Pipits, Larks, Robins, Reed Buntings and Starlings - but the best we could do was 14 Snipe at the pond and 2 Curlew on the runway.
