Marloes & Dale peninsulas

A big flock of Lapwings is building up on the Trehill Farm fields: several hundreds at least, viewed briefly from the road at lunchtime. Also good numbers of Jackdaws on the stubble: again flocks well into the hundreds.
Not much in Martin's Haven valley this morning, save for overflying Chaffinches and Skylarks.
The Gann pools had the Great Northern Diver, showing well close to the road, and a female/immature Red-breasted Merganser, as well as the family group of 7 Mute Swans.
The best bit of the Dale peninsula was the road up to Dale Fort: the trees sounded alive with tits and Goldcrests.
