Late afternoon at the Gann, very few gulls on the high tide (no sign of the Iceland) but the pool was quite busy with 4 Grey Plover, 1 Greenshank, 7 Goldeneye, 12 Little Grebe, 3 Little Egret & 19 Wigeon. The gull roost at Dale was a decent size as a result of the high tide and the windy conditions. Typically it was Black-headed Gulls that predominated, the minimum count for Mediterranean Gulls was 51 (44 adults, 5 2CY, 2 1CY), and biggest surprise of all was a smart, dainty, adult Little Gull - can't remember the last time I saw this species at Dale. Great way to end 2014 - all the best for 2015 everyone! I'll finish with a photo of my favourite Pembrokeshire bird of 2014, the Penally Great Spotted Cuckoo....
