At 16.08, about 20,000 starlings were pouring across the B4319 at Kingsfold on their way to Castlemartin Corse. Yesterday at dusk an intrepid huddle braved the icy wind and showers to enjoy the spectacle from Starman's Hall (inland from Freshwater West). Numbers as before, many of them blacking out areas of the scrub, fields and fences on the Kilpaison/Broomhill Burrows side before making their final move into the reedbed.
Clive's long-tailed duck looking magnificent on the mirror-calm Lower Eastern Arm this afternoon.
