A day out...

...with Mike Y-P, nice weather and some good birds seen.  Highlights included 2 Firecrests at Rosemarket Sewage Treatment Works, a green colour-ringed Mediterranean Gull (RP42) at Llanstadwell, a Common Sandpiper at Sandy Haven along with 4 more Med Gulls, 2 of which were colour ringed (one white, one green) but neither could be read.  We spent quite some time looking at the Monk Haven Chiffchaffs, we estimated at least 15 birds altogether, including 1 looking spot on for Siberian, and another also a decent candidate (but neither called).  On to the Gann where a Water Rail showed well, the gull roost was disappointing with just a few hundred birds including 4 Med Gulls, and we finished off with the Barn Owl at Mullock Bridge.
