Early this afternoon was not a great time to visit with the tide right out but not a bad selection of birds. In Radford Pill there were 12 Redshank, 11 Curlew and 1 Little Egret. At the head of the Pill a pair of Sparrowhawks keeping close company flew over and put up 35 Wigeon and 30 Teal and on the Carew River towards Lawrenny there were 21 Redshank and 6 or so Dunlin.
Near the Castle on Carew River there were a further 26 Redshank and 1 Greenshank.
