The Norwegian ringing set up allows you to report direct to their website with immediate feedback. So, Common Gull JOVX, at Newport this morning, with about 100 other Commons in a huge, constantly changing flock of mostly Black headed & Herrings, was ringed as a chick in SW Norway, in July 14 & this is the 1st report away from that area. This is quite close to the source of the only other darvic ringed Common Gull that I have seen at Newport, J7VR, which was here in Dec 12 & Jan 14.
Also present at least 2 ad Meds & 3 of the local Gloucester landfill Herring Gulls.
